A Must-Read!

If you’re like me, you may be tempted to skip novellas and head straight into the next main book of a series. But I’m glad I didn’t do that, because this book is important if you’re a fan of the series! You’ll get to hear from characters you normally don’t spend as much time with, and the stakes in this book get HIGH. Trust me, this is worth the listen! As for narration, it was perfect as always. The narrator has specific voices for each character, and they never sound out of place or too alike to another. There are also occasional sound effects, which make the experience more immersive. Just trust me, you want to listen to this series ;)

Another slam dunk!

The fast pace action kept me on my toes. This just makes me want more of this story. Between the great characters, thrills, and just enough romance, this series has become one of my favorites this year!

Quick and gripping!

Gah! Hayley Reese Chow does AMAZINGLY with this short novella! Not to mention, Brogan brings every single moment, character, action, and thought to life! I love that Shiro and Sylvia get their own moment. They’re some of the best side characters, and we even get to meet some fun new ones! I love watching Sylvia and Shiro take on the baddies in order to protect their royalers. Plus who doesn’t love a swoony engagement moment?? It’s perfect. And it’s the perfect ramp for leading up to Into the Abyss! Can’t wait to listen!
