Good Collection... Strong Narration

This collection of vampire stories was enjoyable. While I definitely enjoyed some more than others, it was a good mixture and since the stories were short, the content was diverse.

Narration worked very well for me; really brought the stories to life.

A little bit of everything.

A good collection of stories that are a little chilling, or gruesome or scary. The narrator is excellent and changes his style or voice with each story. Listen around a campfire or dark room for extra goosebumps. Recommend it.

A Coven of Vampires

I love short stories. They are a great break from reading long and drawn out tales, though I love novels as well. This was a really good collection of vampire-related short stories, but they are not all the same type of vampire and not the kind that "vant to suck your blood!" These were some creepy creatures, indeed. The tales are varied. I loved most, some were not as much to my liking. My favorite stories were more on the outside-of-the-box types of vampire tales. The Thief Immortal, The Thing From the Blasted Heath, Happopian, and Uzzi were my favorites. Uzzi reminded me of a story I read as a kid and although I can not name that story, it took me back to my childhood where I would read horror books late into the night. There is something here for everyone I think. Definitely recommend this collection.

short but nice vampire stories favorite was the kiss of the lamina and the house of the temple
these stories have nothing to do with the necrscope series but well worth the credit if you like vampire fiction

Excellent narration

As other reviewers have noted, when you read a collection of short stories you typically enjoy some more than others. I found that I particularly enjoyed 'Thief Immortal' and 'The Picnickers'. The author has a very compelling writing style which was even more effective with Joshua Saxon narrating the stories. He absolutely elevated the experience of listening to these stories for me. Very, very good synergy between the author and narrator here!
