Not all dukes are created equal. Most are upstanding members of Society. And then there’s the trio known as Their Dis-Graces.

Hugh Philemon Ancaster, seventh Duke of Ripley, will never win prizes for virtue. But even he draws the line at running off with his best friend’s bride. All he’s trying to do is recapture the slightly inebriated Lady Olympia Hightower and return her to her intended bridegroom.

For reasons that elude her, bookish, bespectacled Olympia is supposed to marry a gorgeous rake of a duke. The ton is flabbergasted. Her family’s ecstatic. And Olympia? She’s climbing out of a window, bent on a getaway. But tall, dark, and exasperating Ripley is hot on her trail, determined to bring her back to his friend. For once, the world-famous hellion is trying to do the honorable thing.

So why does Olympia have to make it so deliciously difficult for him . . . ?

Loretta does it again. I love the way she writes, her dialogues are hilarious. Lord Perfect is still my favorite with Last Nights Scandal coming in next or is Lord of Scoundrels second. If you haven't listened to her books give them a try. I love a good laugh with my romance.

Can't wait for the next in the series

Loretta Chase is an automatic buy for me. Add to that my all time favorite narrator, Kate Reading, and this was a no brainer. What I’m confused about is some references made throughout the book leaving me scratching my head wondering if I fell asleep and missed something important…. However that did not stop my enjoyment of this seriously fun story. I just wonder what happened to the dog Cato? He seemed to disappear half way through the book and that made me sad I really enjoyed his contribution to the overall chaos.

Loved this book, very witty, I chuckled all the way through the book. The narrator was exceptionally good at the various parts. Will look forward to the next in the series!

Very witty

I was thinking that this would be a banal story that I could listen to with half my attention while I did something else. WRONG! This was the funniest, cleverest romance novel I've ever heard. And the narration was perfection! Can't wait to hear number 2!

unexpected wonderful!

I admit that I don’t always love Kate Reading as a narrator of romance novels. I am ultimately gave in and listened to this, my first Loretta Chase book in a very long time. Ms. Reading was outstanding. Her comic timing and consistency of character were spot on. I loved the story. It’s very light and sweet - a perfect summer listen.

Refreshing, funny, and oh so romantic
