It seems someone is doing renovations and Maggie becomes curious about the new owner. When curiosity makes her take a closer look, the disgruntled owner makes it abundantly clear that she’s not welcome.

A suspicious incident happens at the house, a body is discovered, and all fingers seem to be pointing at Maggie. Long lost friends and relatives come out of the woodwork when Maggie tries to get to the bottom of the tragedy and she quickly finds out that people are not at all who they seem to be in this small town.

Well narrated. Well written. Very fluid. Kept you on the edge of your seat. Good characters.

Quick cozy mystery with likable characters. The story is well written and is touched with humor throughout.

just okay

Author seems to have never learned alternatives to "said"... gets extremely irtitatiing....short line of dialog, "he said", then short dialog and again, "she said." Reading the text, you might be able to ignore this, but the Audible version makes it all too noticeable.
