Love is the most powerful force; good against evil.

A Healer’s Prophecy is a perfect fantasy book geared to the middle school aged demographic. I love that Alina is a strong but loving girl trying to fight the evil side. As a retired teacher, I would have read this book with my students with carefree ease(no inappropriateness). The balance between the healers, elves, fairies, and gnomes is a young readers dream. I’m not usually a fantasy genre reader but this held my attention. I finished this quick read in less than a day. I needed to know what happens next. Waiting for the next two of the Kallos Trilogy to be released in audio. Kudos to the narrator.

Such a beautiful coming of age story. Lovely addition for middle grade fiction readers. Teaching empathy and compassion.

Great Fantasy for Kids

A Healer’s Prophecy by Karoline Ettinger is the first book in the Kallos Trilogy.

Turning fifteen changes Alina’s entire world—quite literally. Faced with the discovery of long-buried family secrets, along with leaning she has ancient powers, she must decide if she’s willing to step into the role that’s expected of her.

I enjoyed following Alina as she grew into her powers and navigated the pull she felt between light and dark. The story blends mystery, heartwarming friendships, and a touch of first love, together in an enchanting world, where a young heroine struggles to discover her true strength.

I’m excited to see where Alina’s story goes next in the trilogy!
