Felix as far as he can remember has never been anything else than a humorous talking skeleton. He's been living with Alicia Whiimblebright, a thirty-ish-year-old witch of Cuban descent, and Augustus a banished reaper.

Life is good for Felix until he asks Alicia to place him in her store, Patchouli Mystical Tesoros Shop. He figured since he only comes to life at night, no one will see him watching the residents of Wisterious Bay.

Against her better judgment, Alicia agrees to let Felix stand by the window of her shop for a week. Little does she know that a lot can happen in a week. A few days after Felix has settled in, he decides to walk out the back door and stand in the alleyway. Just as he's about to walk out... clatter, clatter... he notices someone running away, and when he looks down a dead body.

Felix runs around in circles trying to figure out what to do next. He makes such a clatter that he's afraid he's going to get either the killer's attention or someone nearby. So, he runs back inside and heads to the landline to phone Alicia only he can't quite punch in the numbers.
