Magnus Engle is searching for something to help end the discontentment in his life. He didn’t know exactly what he was looking for, he just knew he didn’t have it. He hoped moving back to his hometown of Snowflake Falls would help him to find whatever it was he was looking for. Unbeknownst to him, he wouldn’t have to look for very long. A newcomer had arrived to Snowflake Falls and right from the start he found himself drawn to Abbigail Wright, the pretty, blonde sister of the Lutheran pastor.

Abbigail was also looking for something to bring joy to her life. She couldn't go back in time and rewrite her bad choices, but she hoped she could fix her mistakes in the small, quiet town where she wouldn't be judged or looked down upon. Sadly, she would come to learn that a small town was the worst place to be if you had a secret to hide.

Magnus and Abbigail would together come to learn that in their season of discontentment, a joyous season would arise. It would burst through their hardened hearts like a flooded river after a long rain. The joy would overflow and completely wash away all their sadness
