Compelling premise

Will not give away the plot, but found the premise very interesting and well developed. A complex picture of the world of espionage—particularly relating to Iran. The great Simon Prebble narrates.

Masterful

This is the second Seymour I’ve read, and I’ve learned that everyone gets put in their place, including a reader foolish enough to think she or he knows what should happen or will happen. All joy and wisdom goes to the birds, who get all the writer’s tenderness and joy. I don’t know what makes the stories so satisfying even when the most sensitive characters get hurt. Sensitive people are always the most vulnerable, aren’t they?
