Essence best-selling authors of Love Don’t Live Here Anymore, the husband/wife team of Chiles and Millner use a dramatic “he said, she said” approach in a novel that carries listeners right into the hearts of two lifelong friends.

Aaron and Nina grew up on the same street and have been best buddies for 25 years. Now they wonder if they might ruin their relationship if they make room in it for passion and romance.

This book is all over the place. It’s confusing in beginning, little pieces which ended up coming together at end but was much annoying for me. Story is cute but I felt like female character was using the male character or should I say “trapped” him. Coco is wild but I honestly believe was a female demon LoL. I did like story after all but was pulled with so many little stories that came together in end which I felt was a fail for poor Aaron who was being played or used. But enjoy the book.

Cute

Is there anything you would change about this book?

It needed maybe 1 or 2 more chapters at the end of the book. I felt a like I was left hanging a bit.

Would you recommend A Love Story to your friends? Why or why not?

I would but I would warn them that it's pretty predictable. However, I like the he said/she said concept of presentation.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I like that there are different people narrating the book. However, the production leaves a little bit to be desired when I can hear the narrator swallowing while reading.

Was A Love Story worth the listening time?

yes

Any additional comments?

I have been a fan of Denene and Nick for many years and I think they should write more together. But I would invest in a really good editor to round out the story line. You are both very talented writers and you are doing yourselves an injustice not to put out complete work.

Better than the last he/she book

The story started out great giving you an insider's look into the beginnings of a long time relationship between two friends who eventually became a couple...However, the craziness between the two of them, although comical, seemed very dysfunctional. Although it wasn't the worse story, it certainly could've used some help with the ending...It just kind of left you hanging.

It was ok!
