A Lucky Texas New Year's Eve is a standalone story, although the people in this story also appear in other books in the series. However, you don't have to read the other books to enjoy Lia and Declan's story.

Series is Cute and Funny

The series is cute and funny at times, especially the mom. The boys’ stories are similar in that they try to resist their love interest for varying reasons. This is the part I found annoying and repetitive. I liked the other parts of the books which showed how the characters complimented each other. If authors could lose the idea that they need to remind readers through their characters that “it’s not a good idea” or “it’s wrong” when it really isn’t, I would like that very much.
