Claudia Weeks had had her sights set on Garrett Silvers for over a year. She had assumed the feelings were mutual when Garrett had promoted her to manager of one of his bakeries. He had never asked her out on a date or given her a reason to think that their relationship was anything but professional; however, since he hadn't shown interest in anyone else, she thought the possibilities that he could become interested in her were fairly good.

Her hopes and dreams came to a crashing halt when Garrett had cut his time short at her bakery this morning, announcing that he couldn't stay long because he was picking up his fiance at the bus station in a few hours.
