A New Season

Harriet Engle, the daughter of Hogan and Sigrid Engle, bounced and twirled her way into our hearts in A Season of Love and A Joyous Season. Harriet is now grown and has become a beautiful, smart, and compassionate young woman. After finishing college, she returned to Snowflake Falls to start a preschool at St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

Harriet is an honest woman who often speaks her mind because she doesn't like to play games with people, especially not with the good looking mechanic her father had recently hired to work at his garage. Samuel Carrington had just been discharged from the Marine Corp. Even though he no longer was fighting the war in Iraq, he daily fought the war that raged inside his head. He tried to ignore his PTSD, but after meeting Harriet, he knew he would have to come face to face with the source of his nightmares in order to have the woman of his dreams.

Though it seemed it was not met to be, It would take a tragic act of nature for the two to realize that their love could stand the test they would have to patiently endure together. As for all the good folks of Snowflake Falls, they would come to learn that what really mattered in life were not the homes where you lived, or the buildings where you worked, or all the stuff that was filled inside. What mattered the most, were the people you had been blessed to share your life with.
