Well, visit to dentist sounds scarry for me already, I don’t really need any additional stories around it to feel fear. Regarding cats, the situation is quite the opposite: I actually like them very much. So, if you also consider yourself to be a cat-lover, be ready to hear some horror story that is related to cats. Yep, we all already know that cats are the gangsters of the animal kingdom, but here is a totally different thing.

Overall, I like this very collection of dreadful stories; recommended to all fans of this genre!

A Night at the Shockplex has a moody feel throughout, and each story adds its own kind of darkness. I couldn’t always guess where a story was going, and when the twists arrived, they usually hit pretty well. The shorter tales worked like sharp little bursts of fear, while the longer ones built a thicker atmosphere. It’s a good fit for listeners who enjoy horror that leans toward the eerie rather than the extreme.

I liked most about A Night at the Shockplex is the variety of dark and imaginative tales that kept me hooked from start to finish. Each story has its own flavor of horror, from the eerie Appalachian mountains to the unsettling horror of an ordinary dental visit. Fans of both classic monsters and psychological chills will find something to love here.

I really enjoyed A Night at the Shockplex because it delivered such a wide variety of horror stories that each felt unique yet equally unsettling. I liked most was how cinematic the writing felt—the descriptions made me feel like I was watching a horror movie unfold right in front of me. If you enjoy stories that make you uneasy in the best possible way, this book is absolutely worth diving into.
