What gives your life meaning? What makes you rise each morning and keep going — even through the hard days?

In this intimate and reflective memoir, author Chris Wilkins invites you into a deeply personal exploration of life, mortality, love, and purpose. After a sudden, life-threatening health crisis, Wilkins found himself face-to-face with his own mortality — and with it, the essential question: What are my reasons to live?

What followed was not a breakdown, but a breakthrough.

Told through a series of powerful vignettes and meditative reflections, A Reason To Live explores the everyday threads that hold us together: the quiet strength of a partner’s love, the healing power of nature, the beauty in aging, and the deep satisfaction of creating something meaningful. With warmth, wisdom, and often wry humor, Wilkins reflects on the stuff of life — the people, places, and moments that make it all worthwhile.

Whether you're facing a life transition, seeking greater mindfulness, or simply ready to slow down and reconnect with what matters, this book offers a companion on the path.

I appreciate the author’s insights, and really loved his stories. They made his message come to life and resonate with my own life stories.

Well told stories of wisdom and insight.

I enjoy reading memoirs and this one was an interesting look into the life, experiences and thoughts of Chris Wilkins(who seems to have already lived about 5 lifetimes in one life!). This read feels like you are sitting with a friend who is vulnerably sharing what matters to them - something I think we should all do a little more of these days.

An interesting journey
