Someone is hell-bent on killing detective Simms of the Pinkerton Detective Agency.

While investigating a clutch of brutal murders, Simms is dragged into a life-and-death struggle with a bunch of desperadoes, numerous Indians, a gunfighter, and a double-crossing US Marshal by the name of Dixon.

This will not be the easiest time of his life, nor the most peaceful. By the end of it, a lot of people will end up dead. All Simms needs to do is make sure he isn't one of them.

A Reckoning is a stand-alone novel that can be enjoyed even if you haven't listened to the other books in the series.

This is an excellent action packed book about Detective Simms. It says there stand alone books and can be read in any order. I think its best to listen to them in order. I read number 5 before this one. If I had read this one first I would have known more about Dixon. Dixon is a crooked Marshal. This is one of the best series I've found. I have loved every book and I'll listen to them again. I think each book was worth buying. This book was easy to follow. Simms meets White Dove an Indian Squaw. Simms gets falsely accused and arrested for killing someone he didn't. I hate when the main character is set up. But White Dove helps him escape. Simms goes on after Dixon. Tim Tidball does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
