A Rogue for the Dutiful Duchess

A dramatic Regency romance. The scandal of the season must be stopped!

Widowed duchess Sophie will do anything to protect her son and his inheritance. Even ask roguish Lord Nicholas Pascoe to retrieve her late husband’s diaries before the secrets they contain bring down the government and the monarchy! Sophie knows she must maintain her distance from Nicholas…only she can’t help but respond to the desire in his eyes. Their mission is treacherous, but will it prove as dangerous as their unexpected attraction?

His Maddening Matchmaker

Sparks fly in this witty Regency romance. They say opposites attract… but do they wed?

Ned Parker has spent years restoring his family’s fortunes, leaving no time for courting. Now childhood friend and self-appointed matchmaker Isobel has decided to transform this “scruffy brute” into an eligible gentleman. Though he has no interest in rejoining society, Ned senses Izzy needs the distraction and reluctantly goes along with her plans. Despite their differing views, a surprising new attraction grows…but Ned’s doing his best to avoid it!

I love the levity that Karen Cass brings to Virginia Heath’s book. I was just hooked and only wished the first novel (Maddening Matchmaker is the second in a series) was on audiobook. Virginia Health is an amazing writer. You can tell because she doesn’t let sex carry her books. It’s got that too, but it’s always a journey to get there and a satisfying historically accurate one.

The first book in this audiobook pairing was sad, slow, and just annoyingly constant miscommunication. It wasn’t ever fun, it was always tragic and dramatic. Had to suffer though it so I could get to the gem behind it.
