Twenty years later, Jia calls them all back to Wesley Falls—Maddy has been murdered, and they are the only ones who can uncover why. But to end things, they have to return to the mine one last time.

Couldn’t put it down!

This was a great read. It took a little concentration for me to get into it in the beginning simply because I always have trouble keeping track of different characters perspective when they’re split by chapter. That being said, it didn’t take away from the book- just a warning to other adhd-ers to stick it out haha!

There is a review that someone else left that made comments about how the paranormal wasn’t necessary- I’m telling you right now, that person just picked the wrong genre and didn’t realize it. The paranormal isn’t some random side story- it IS the plot of the book. And it was really well done, used as a “one possible explanation for Christianity and cult-like religion.”

Another slam dunk home run touchdown for Vera Kurian. Loved every minute of it and got very emotionally attached to the protagonists. Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻

This book kept my attention all the way through! My thoughts didn't stray to random things! Best book I've listened to for awhile. on my way to see what else the author has written.

I could not put this down (figuratively). Great storyline and character development. Well worth the time.

A very intriguing story.

A compelling story with a hint of supernatural and psychic abilities. Characters are diverse and expanding on. A good listen
