Marlay knows one thing already — whatever the great enemy is up to on this world it is of paramount importance to his plans. But that is all happening somewhere in the city of Arroch, a place of fresh slaughter, a place no-one in their right mind would either go or remain. It is a place which now reminds her of matters best left in her past, and a familial terror she thought she had escaped.

But if she does not return to that godforsaken place, if she cannot prove to her superiors that Arroch city should be their next key target, she might never leave this world again.

Marlay may well be the last sane human alive on Palanda Ire, but now her time is running out...


A Storm to the Savage is a novel which expands the territory of the main sequence Armada Wars books, mostly occurring during the time period covered in From Shattered Stars. It can be read as a standalone book, but will benefit from knowledge of what has occurred in the main story.

For the first time in the Armadaverse we follow a lone female protagonist as she strives to overcome adversity both within and without. Those readers who are survivors of narcissistic abuse are advised that there may be triggers in the text, however Marlay's journey to overcome them will possibly provide some cathartic relief.
