In Murder in the Middle, an urgent phone call from a principal (and friend) sends Susan rushing through the doors of Westbrook Middle School and into the middle of a new mystery. The bookkeeper is missing, her office is in shambles, and the principal is desperate to keep it quiet. All this while Susan is in the middle of her own family crisis that may forever change the life of someone she loves.

This was a very good story. I really enjoyed it very much. I would tell my family and friends to listen to this book.

AI generated reading is not the way to go

I have not finished this story because I can’t get past the reading. I can’t get a good feel for the book bc there is no emotion in the reading. It seemed alright at first, but it’s not. A robot(computer) is reading the book and that’s what it sounds like.

There are mispronunciations bc some words are read phonetically. Pauses in dictation are not correct. Either, they aren’t there, or the pauses aren’t in the correct places.

I may go back and try again. If the company wants this book to be listened to, they are going to have to have an actual person read it.

Computers are good for some things. This is not one of them.
