Whew!

This book out of all the others so far in this series was the most emotional. I felt for Jade and understood her pain. The one person she was loyal to caused her nothing but pain. In an effort to move on, she made decisions that will plague her for the rest of her life. This story although not said is real life for most. I was Jada, in a sense. Married and had kids either the wrong man, stayed too long, lost myself in the process, then spent years working to build myself back up. Ms. Watkins did her thing with this one.

Started slow but got explosive

Love this series. Easily became a favorite for me. addicting and satisfying. a must read.

topic story line

this is another great listening book. I've enjoyed them all on to the next.

Good story but yet again...

I, for the life of me, cannot understand who thought it was a good idea to have a white narrator for this urban story. I was offended absolutely EVERY TIME she said the N word. Good story but disappointing performance yet again 😒

loved the raw of this book in the series

I love the rawness of how broken the characters were and that it felt authentic loved it.
