Is it because Katie has fallen into a serious relationship as well?

These two best friends are at odds just when they should be having the most fun together. Christy soon realizes that sometimes, you have to stand back and let people make their own decisions, even when you don't agree with them. You can't change everything and everybody.

But you can change your choice of paint color on a vintage bookshelf. Especially after finding inspiration from the sunset after a walk on the beach with Todd.

If it's true that there is time for every season under heaven, then Christy believes this is definitely a time to cherish.

A favorite from my teen years

I LOVED rereading this book from my teen years. The Christy Miller books are my absolute favorite.

How happy it is, even though hard things come along.

It changed my perspective after listening to it. It made me cry. That made me feel so good.

This book did NOT age well

I am one of the biggest Christy Miller fans on this planet but when I gave this to my kids to read and listen to, my husband was shocked.

Perhaps in the 1990s, it was completely logical that a 16-year-old girl would be jealous of a 14-year-old girl for taking up too much attention from the 20-year-old men. However my children now find this book creepy and weird.

For me, who knows the end of the story, Doug is a harmless young man. For my kids? He is kind of a creep. And there is a significant part of one of the chapters where Christy is legitimately worried because he is paying too much attention to a 14-year-old girl.
