Egypt, 1922. The Valley of the Kings hides more than tombs—it hides secrets worth killing for.

Archaeologist Sahara Aldridge has spent her life chasing the past. But when a torn page from her mother’s journal surfaces—written just before her death and hinting at a forbidden discovery—Sahara is drawn into a mystery that defies explanation.

As the world’s eyes turn toward Tutankhamun’s tomb, Sahara races to uncover the truth about her parents’ deaths, her own strange gift, and a conspiracy buried deep in Egypt’s golden sands.

When a brash American reporter arrives asking all the wrong questions, their uneasy alliance ignites into something neither expected. Together, they’ll confront danger, deception, and the deadly lure of the past itself.

From the halls of Highclere Castle to the tombs of ancient pharaohs, A Time to Seek weaves murder, myth, and romance into a heart-stopping historical mystery of discovery and destiny.

“A must-read for fans of Elizabeth Peters’ Amelia Peabody and Deanna Raybourn’s Veronica Speedwell—smart, romantic, and brimming with archaeological intrigue.”

Step into the sands of Egypt—and uncover the mystery that started it all.

The AI narration on this very good story is overwhelmingly bad. Did no one listen to this after it was done?! The names are pronunced wrong, the emphasis in sentences is completely off, the syntax is all over the place, and there is absolutely no variation in character voices. The story itself is good, but I will not be listening to the rest of this series no matter how much I like it. You need to do better Audible.

A good story killed by AI narration

What a great story! I love that there are real people in places in this story. The places are so historical that the characters go to. Having been to a few of these places listed makes the story feel like truth. I was transported to these places again through the book. It makes you feel as though you were living it right along with the characters. The author does such a great job in the writing. I started listening to this on a road trip and could not put it down until all the books were completed. The automated reader does a pretty good job and was not a distraction for me at all. Ultimately, I’m sad to be done with the series. I wish it could keep going on. What a fun series of books.

The story was engaging. I am
looking forward to the next book. Sometimes, I was even able to forget it was virtual voice, but a jarring imperfection in tone would soon remind me. Still, I was impressed overall.

Virtual Voice is improving

As I said, the narration was easy to listen to. The story’s twists and turns were fun.

The virtual voice was done well; much better than most other ai narration. But the story is very enjoyable and creative
