From the number one best-selling mystery author Blake Pierce comes a new masterpiece of psychological suspense. A Trace of Hope is the final book in the Keri Locke series, bringing the series to a dramatic conclusion.

In A Trace of Hope, Keri Locke, missing persons detective in the homicide division of the LAPD, is closer than she’s ever been to finding her daughter. Finally, she gets a fresh lead - and this time, she will do whatever it takes to bring her home alive.

At the same time, a new, urgent case is assigned to Keri: an 18-year-old girl has gone missing after being hazed by her sorority. As the race is on to find her, Keri plunges deep into the world of pristine college campuses and comes to realize that all is not what it seems.

A dark psychological thriller with heart-pounding suspense, A Trace of Hope is the fifth book in a riveting new series - and a beloved new character - that will leave you listening to the audiobook late into the night.

There are some major sound issues, such as mic clipping, ASMR issues in the sound recording of the performer. There are fans, ending of line cuts noise, sound gate issues, repeat lines, and plain old blowing out of the microphone when the performer is trying to convey a bigger voice. I’m no pro, but even an amateur like myself finds things like this avoidable, and sonically distracting from the story. Didn’t someone check this? At one point in the previous story I almost fell off a ladder as I was working due to the sound editing being SO LOUD from one sentence to another. Alas, I stuck with the story and I’m glad. It’s good despite the switch of performers (which I’m not terribly thrilled with) and the sound issues. Where is Elaine Wise?!?

Great story, recording ok

I don’t like the constant mispronunciation of words and the choices that Blake makes in who performs his stories, but the stories are so good. Twisty, turny, full of badass womanhood and darkness.

This series is excellent

Loved this series and I recommend that you just get over the narrators and focus on the story. Detective Locke and the love for her daughter man that is just the best. I just love detective Locke!!!! This book was a little weird but none the less this a great read!!! And as always the narrator could have been different but the story beats it all
