This is a collection of three stories that explore on the dark side, one’s justification for living, finding love, and most importantly how to stay alive! Pregnancy labor foils one woman’s escape to leave her abusive husband, a man of God, and war are the unique plot pieces for these stories.

The tales contained are full of twists turns and surprises keeping you glued to the story you are listening to. A few of the tales felt a bit rushed or incomplete, but for the most part, I was hooked. There is quite a bit of violence, so please be prepared for that. Otherwise, the short stories were great, especially the last half of the chapters.

The cover is intriguing and like the stories, unique. It hints that things are a bit twisted and different. Very apropos for the stories!

Graham Mack narrates this book. He did a pretty good job with the reading. I feel like the tempo was a bit slow, but I still enjoyed the reading.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.
