It was once said that, "a persons integrity is more important than his body". I believe it was L Ron Hubbard that philosophized that. I pondered on this concept for a long time in order to make sense of it. I finally did and suddenly I had a new set of problems. The chief problem in all of this was, "Okay, so how do I be me?" I mean - don't I have to be me in order to have integrity? I mean, this is a huge subject.
But, of course, the handling is quite simple and I realized all I had to do is do what I want and need to do. It used to cause me a lot of trouble doing and being what I wanted to be and that was, of course, the problem. So now I just be me with the attitude that no one is going to bother me about it and if they do, I will just treat them as I would a house fly and swat them away.
This novel - it is a novel - is not based on any true story - but it could be.It is about integrity and takes place during one of the worst wars there ever was - the Vietnam War, in which I partook a rather big part.
It is a fictional story about a soldier in Vietnam, who didn't want to be there and after trying to get help on this fell on deaf ears, he took this matter into his own hands and solved it his way. He found integrity and he used it. And he learned a huge lesson from it.
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Goddammed right! A lot of things tried to kill my main character, and they all failed. Read this story if you like adventure and mystery.
You won't be disappointed.
