Saffron:

I made a mistake buying this house.

It needs work, more than I am capable of, and I can’t afford to hire anyone.

He’ll do the renovations, if I pretend to be his girlfriend for Thanksgiving with his family.

Nolan:

I can’t do another family holiday where I’m being set up by everyone.

Which is why I make a deal with my new neighbor.

I thought that it would be simple.

We would eat, pretend to be in love with each other and then go home.

There’s just one problem.

The more time that I spend with my curvy fake girlfriend, the more I fall for her.

Now I need to figure out how to make my fake girlfriend my real one.

The only grumpy guy in the bunch

Got four of this series’s novellas together and was disappointed that they all feature nice guys who instantly fall for the curvy Baker sister who is virginal (or nearly so). At least the opening scene here had Nolan being grumpy … for two seconds, before he then tells his momma he has a girlfriend and has to rehab her whole house to get her to pretend to be his girlfriend.
