While she doesn’t really need a job, she takes one as a housekeeper for a single man, and he and his three children hit it off, but not in a romantic way. While Abby is on maternity leave, he sends for a mail order bride and along with an attractive woman, he gets far more than he ever bargained for.

What made the experience of listening to A Widow & Her Rival: A Christian Mail Order Bride Romance the most enjoyable?

I liked this story because it had a 'twist' in that it focused on the what I thought to be the 'lesser' characters.

What did you like best about this story?

The children were my favorite part of this story - very amusing antics! :-)

Have you listened to any of Joe Smith’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to many of Mr. Smith's performances, but this ranks as one of my favorite, especially with his rendition of Margaret's voice - so appropriate! :-)

Very good book geared more to preteens

I thought it was very good, fast paced, short. A very good story.
I liked it being a Christian, clean love story

there are better mail order Christian stories

I struggled to get through this. the narrator is good but the writing is terrible. very predictable.
