I remember this book as a child and it weathered well as an older adult. It captured my interest IMMEDIATELY unlike so many other books that I have to read for a chapter before I really get into it. The narration was absolutely on point. I highly recommend this book

Simply superb all around

I have a large assortment of Native American books. I really enjoyed this one. I had read this story long ago in another book but this is the best detailed version since the other book just had about 3 pages on her.

in my top 10 list
