Throughout 2025, I shared a series on the life of Abraham with several brothers and sisters via WhatsApp, which my own longing led me to write in the form of personal meditation. I needed to hear about faith as far removed as possible from the drivel of the religion of the day, and I thought that the best teacher would be to reread the biography of the person known as the “father of faith” (Romans 4:11-12 and Galatians 3:7). Like many of you, I had read that part of Genesis that recounts the adventures of the father of faith several times, but it was only when I forced myself to write down my discoveries that I found many details I had never considered before.
It is not an exhaustive study, just a superficial approach to the bedrock of faith. But even though it is only a kind of float on the ocean of faith, the experience has been so enriching for me and for all those with whom I shared the meditation—some asked me for it in English to share with others—that perhaps it will be useful to others. I hope the journey is worthwhile and that you find many amazing and useful things to strengthen your personal walk with Him... because, honestly, Abraham's life is nothing like what we often call a “life of faith” today.
In His unquenchable love,
Samuel de Roa
