Ricky Walters or Rick Rock as he is known in the streets of New York is the notorious leader of the Rock Family Mafia. A pack of blood thirsty individuals who he created through clever manipulation. He took in young men and provided them with love and a sense of family, but in all reality he was creating foot soldiers to do his dirty work. Raymond King is a loyal street soldier who has an undeying devotion to his mentor and the man who has been like a father to him. After his mentor is arrested, tried, and sentenced to thirty years for a murder that he did not commit. Ray is expected to step up and fulfill the responsibility as the new leader. His goal is to maintain the Rock Family Mafia legacy, but there is just one problem. There isn't a Rock Family Mafia. Rick Rock is flat broke, everyone turned their backs on him and his list of enemies was long. He burned bridges and double crossed too many people. That they wanted him to rot in jail and die quietly, but he had other plans and so did Ray. Chicken was God's gift to a gangster. Beautiful, intelligent, loyal, opinionated, and strong minded. She had eyes for one man and one man only. Her heart belonged to him and she was willing to do any and everything to make him hers even if it meant helping him to become the biggest drug distributor along the Atlantic Coast.

The plot

It took me a moment to get past some of the brash language, but once I did, the storyline and overall plot were executed very smoothly. The narrative kept me engaged, and I’m definitely interested in reading the sequel.

Like this book ending clutch. Checking to see if it’s a #2 book as I write.

Great story line

I Love all of Rasheed books, great stories. I hate that they all end like they’re leading to a part 2 but none of them have sequels.
