Somehow, despite his whirlwind of start to the school year, Taylor Holmes emerged relatively unscathed. And halfway into the semester, things look good. That is, until he gets an unexpected assignment for his field project: Studying the Elkhorn football team.

Not only does Taylor have no interest in sports, but hanging around a bunch of big, brutish men is hardly his idea of a good time. But as long as he keeps his head down, works hard, and his friend, Ella, supports him, all should be fine. Right?
