Two's company, three's a crowd.

Summer break is here, and Adachi's determined to spend it with Shimamura. Unfortunately, Shimarmura's old friend Tarumi has beaten her to the punch—as Adachi discovers when she catches the two of them together.

Will this rude awakening give Adachi the push she needs to finally confess her feelings? And is Shimamura even ready to hear them if she does?

From the moment Volume 1 appeared on Audible, part of me hadn't been able to stop thinking about how a specific chapter from Volume 5 (this one, in case you're lost) would feel to listen to. In the interest of staying relatively spoiler free, I'll just say: more intense than I thought it'd be, chilling and ... maybe even a little bit relatable in a "thoughts we normally keep to ourselves" sort of way.

It's always interesting to revisit a story you've already experienced multiple times but in a different medium, it's sometimes enough to shift your perspective in unexpected directions. Analise Scarpaci has been doing incredible on this series, this volume especially.

A turning point (probably)

THE ULTIMATE ADASHIMA SCENE FINALLY WAS DELIVERED AND ANALISE SCARPACI DID NOT DISAPPOINT. GOOD YURI GOD.

On a serious note, Shimamura's Blade is a jaw dropping, heart wrenching, cleaver to the chest of a chapter and maybe the most memorable thing that happens in all of Adashima, and Analise absolutely DELIVERED. I was crying in the club, fr fr.

The story is so ridiculously good. The Yuri slowburn is slow burning, folks. I can't wait for the next installment. Put some respect on Analise's name. Please respect my GOAT 🐐🐐🐐

Analise Scarpaci made me cry

Amazing performance by the narrator as always. The story manage to hit me with how relatable it is and love how it tackle the underlying issues both Adachi and Shimamura introvert is unhealthy. Although its more focus on Adachi and was dissapointed to not see the other side of Shimamura inner thought in the phone call interaction. Maybe they delve that more in the other volume as Adachi might be taking baby steps, Shimamura has barely taken any at all.

Still enjoyable, wish they added the illustration pdf like some other light novels.

More awkward and cringy introvert yuri

This is book five, so if you're here, you already know what this series is, and therefore I'll be brief. If you've never read this volume before, it's really good, and things progress. If, like me, you *have* read the book before, you're probably wondering about one thing, and I can tell you that Analise Scarpaci does not disappoint. I don't think there's anything more to say.

Worth the wait!
