Their skill as steamboat Captains they learned from the age of twelve would be needed to travel such a far and dangerous route with US Army supplies, and troops to Ft. Benton where the army would set up new forts, and outpost for the thousands of people heading west. Every bend of the river would show its beauty and its teeth. They would come across the good men, and the bad, and even two beautiful women to confront.
