According to history, in 1906 suffragist and local women's rights leader, Bessilyn Hind, committed suicide at her thirty-fifth birthday party after her fiancé broke up with her. Only one problem: her ghost doesn't remember it that way. And, she is appalled that books have been written about her that imply she would have done something so drastic over a man.

She didn’t take her own life, and she wants Carly to find out who her real murderer is (and get retractions on history, pronto).

Through channeling, Carly is brought straight to 1906 to relive the party moment by moment, follow every twist, and figure it all out.

But she also finds out the hard way that, even after more than 100 years, danger doesn’t always die with the victim.
