Dr Lizzie King really didn't expect to wake up a vampire in the so-called afterlife. On the plus side she gets to stay young forever. On the downside, she has to depend on a liquid blood diet to stay alive. Talk about gross. Despite her misgivings, Lizzie manages to land herself a role of doctor at the local supernatural hospital and as an added bonus, she even picks up a stray were-panther pet of her very own. All on her first night as a member of the living dead. Not bad for a newbie blood sucker. Add in some vampire politics, a tattletale vampire mean girl, a host of unusual supernatural patients, a very yummy master vampire and Liz is ready to admit this might not be a bad afterlife after all.
