In this bundle, I've included the first three books and a short story bonus - "When Jack Met Diane". Find out how the leading characters met and started their journey together.

Book 1: It Has Begun

Could you survive a post-apocalyptic world?

Jack and Diane were two average Americans living in small towns, or so it seems. Jack is a prepper and has been most of his life. The day started out like any other; Diane and Jack started their morning routines and equipped their every day carry items. Survival is for the prepared.

But when disaster strikes the United States, Jack's lifetime of preparing will be put to the test. Grabbing his two dogs and their bugout bags, the duo must escape their hometowns and find a safe place to seek shelter. What really happened, and will Jack's years of prepping be enough to keep them all safe?

Find out why this made best seller!

Book 2: Diggin In

The follow up to the best seller has arrived!

Continue the journey of Jack and Diane as they navigate the new reality. With more attacks, the duo and Jack's group decide this is not a one-off attack.

It's time to dig in and prepare for what's coming next. Meet new characters and find out what the terrorists planned next.

Diggin In has more action, more dialogue, more characters, and intrigue.

Book 3: Summer's End

Two months have passed since Jack dug in. Jack and Diane offer to help Robin find her family as new threats emerge close to home and in far-off lands.

The country is still without power and the coming winter will be brutal. Jack’s group is prepared, but how will everyone else make it through a cold winter?

Summer’s End has more action and new characters as Jack and Diane expand their reach.

Start the journey today.

I enjoyed these books. The narrator on book one was not the best to listen to, but he was replaced and the rest was much easier and pleasant to listen to. The overall story was very good. It had a realistic story line. The main characters were very likable. I found the series so far very enjoyable and I will be looking forward to joining Jack and Diane on their journey ahead.

Enjoyable, I want to finish the journey!

It is disheartening to have to wait extended periods if time between chapters to complete a book.

The disaster in which Kevin Barry McGuire is a very plausible attack that could happen on American soil. The book follows a prepped and his friends as they find ways to survive in a world post electronics and infrastructure.

The story was a bit rough around the edges but I enjoyed it. Generally, I'm not a fan of realistic disaster fiction but I did find that I liked the characters McGuire wrote.

The narrators of the books were also a little rough. some of their narrations were a little stilted.

I think it's a good story and worth a listen if you're interested in realistic disaster/post-apocalyptic stories.

A realistic look at a realistic disaster.

I loved the first book I listened to and I was happy that I had the next two without doing anything. However, books two and three need a little work. I did not believe in Diane after what she did. I found it really hard to believe. It felt like she changed personality all of a sudden. I also felt like we were missing a few scenes of course these are novellas so we can't get everything we want. Other than this it is a really good bundle. I did listen to it from beginning to end. If there are any more in this series then I would definitely listen/read it.
