Friendship to Love

While I have questions on the historical accuracy of a few minor things in this book, I enjoyed the story overall. I disliked Louisa quite a lot in the first book but the author does a great job of redeeming her pretty quickly. The romance that grows between Louisa and Josh is sweet and I liked that they support one another from the beginning. The friendship is immediate and the love develops naturally out of that rather than there being an instant attraction.

Great message of forgiveness

Very good characters and story with great message of forgiveness, but the reader does not translate men’s voices or emotions well.
