Mrs. Poole, a gifted British medium living in the United States, is recruited by an Alien force called the Opportunity to rescue four of their own trapped in the spirit world. The ghosts in Jennifer's house are driving her crazy. She seeks out Mrs. Poole's help to hold a seance to cleanse her house of the unwelcome guests. In order for that to happen she must accept a fantastic tale that alien spirits can possess humans and then offer herself, her friends, and a family member to be possessed themselves. The story introduces Simon, a huge man who dresses like Jack the Ripper and calls himself a paranormal detective. And Sophia, a beautiful girl with exotic eyes who has special powers. Mrs. Poole, Simon, and Sophia have been recruited by the Opportunity as an emergency squad called Spearpoint whose job it is to come to the rescue when an alien possession goes terribly wrong. The novella takes a lot of unexpected twists and turns with humorous moments thrown in for added enjoyment. You'll enjoy the characters and will always be waiting to see what comes next.
