The arrangement was supposed to be simple. No feelings. No family. And definitely no permanent claiming.

I’m done playing the perfect daughter. When my family’s iron grip threatened to turn my life into a corporate merger, I struck a deal with the only man as desperate as I was: Lieutenant Kael Theron. He’s an uptight, infuriatingly proper Vraxian officer whose career just hit a dead end, and he needs a fiancée to save his reputation.

The plan was easy—fake the engagement, buy some breathing room, and walk away clean. Except nothing about Kael is "clean."

He’s rigid. Controlled. Completely unreadable. But the second we announce our "match," his family insists on meeting me. On his homeworld. Now, I have to survive the scrutiny of an entire Vraxian clan who can smell a lie from orbit.

I thought I could diplomat—or lawyer—my way through anything. But Kael’s mother is already planning the ceremony, his sister is gutting my wardrobe, and Kael? He’s watching me with an intensity that makes me forget we’re playing a game.

There’s just one problem: His tail is the worst liar in the galaxy. Every time he acts like I’m a tactical liability, it wraps around my waist like I'm his only anchor.

Our contract has an expiration date. His career depends on it. My freedom depends on it. But the more he looks at me like I'm precious and necessary, the more I realize I'm not ready to sign the exit papers.

I actually enjoyed the story and plot , had more than just shnu shnu scenes as an alien romance that is appreciated. A pretty quick listen. Would recommend if you aren’t bothered by theAI narrative
