This is the best book I have read about the Vietnam War. I felt like I was there. I wish I was. God bless all the troops!

Remember the groundhog days

Remembering all the mundane experiences day after day and nights. Do not like AI narrative, to many cuts making story breaks.

Exposing a lot of truth.

This book is the most accurate I’ve listened to regarding the Vietnam War. This is what it was like as a grunt in Vietnam. I served in 1/506 Infantry, 101 st. Abn. Div. in the mountain jungles and lowlands of I Corp Vietnam.

Great Story

The story was gripping and put you in the jungle with the Grunts. No sugar coating just raw fear and survival. The AI narration was an abomination just terrible. Clearly not narrated by a person. The narration went in and out and skipped some words. Use a real person next time.

Respect

So much respect for the comeback veterans. Brooke does a great job painting the picture of the range of emotions and experiences of those warriors on the front line of Vietnam. Would love better narration, AI has come a long way but still isn’t a human.
