Sarah cannot believe how everything is turning out so good for her.

Sarah makes the mistake of humiliating Andrew one night and this is something she is going to regret for the rest of her life. Assuming she survives, that is, which is highly doubtful. Because behind the façade of being the cool kid in school, Andrew is a very dangerous boy. A monster, in fact, as Sarah is about to find out.

Not for the faint of heart

Fright night Audio did an amazing job as always, also j Bootes writing was great! I felt so connected with Sarah and I could almost feel everything that she went through which made this a tough listen in some parts. The main antagonist is as cruel as cruel can get. If you’re a fan of true crime/serial killer books check this out. With all that being said make sure to check trigger warnings this may not be for everyone due to extreme material.

The trauma continues with the 2nd book in the Monster series!
Sarah, a teenage with lots of hopes and dreams of being a famous writer, is stripped of all of her dreams very quickly.
J. Boote really knows how to write a story! There’s so much raw emotion and horror mixed together.

I listened to the audio and the narrator did
an outstanding job! I really enjoyed the listen!!

This series is not for the faint at heart! But for those willing to read these extreme books, will find they love them!

Off to read book 3!

Hard to get through but worth it

The storybis hard to stomach in parts. While the main character goes through hardships. Though it's a thoroughly satisfying wrap up in the third act. Worth it if you can handle rough subject matter. The narrator was challenging, sometimes slipping out of character and staying consistent with the voices and accents. It did not ruin the story though.

loves the brutality!!

This one was brutal!! The vivid descriptions of the violence and graphic scenes caused me pain!
Sarah had everything a young girl could ask for. A great relationship with her parents, good grades, and she just signed a publishing deal! But good things don't last. She ends up being captured, tortured and abused in unimaginable ways
