Duane Allman was the master of slide guitar and this solo clearly shows off his expertise. This is played and taught on a standard guitar with the strings raised up to typical slide-playing-height. The guitar is in open E tuning.
The lesson starts with a full demonstration of the solo and then teaches the song (all five verses) phrase by phrase, completely “by ear”.
