Gabriela Harley has a dream of becoming the biggest fashion runway model the industry has ever seen. She wants desperately to get out of the hood and experience the worldly things she dreamed about as a kid. But on the northside of Philly, most people are too busy trying to get out of the way of constant gunfire to think about getting out of the hood. Her boyfriend Nightmare is knee-deep in the streets and although she loves him and benefits greatly from the menacing presence he’s established in the hood, Nightmare doesn’t support her dreams of a different life.
When Gabriela’s best male friend Nathario comes back in town, she finally feels like she has the support she needs to go after everything she wants. But the closer she gets to the goal; the more obstacles seem to form a line waiting to cause chaos. There’s tension between the Nightmare and Nathario, there are deadly secrets that lie beneath the surface, and the modeling industry is nothing like she dreamed it would be. When Gabriela finds out she may have to risk her life and sanity to make it big will she still want it? Can she truly have it all or will her laser focus cause her to lose everything?

Would have been better with a live recording

I enjoyed the story. It’s well written. However, the robotic, mechanical voices don’t help bring the story to life.
