The scandal would rip through English society - but how can they resist falling recklessly, irreversibly in love? A series of disasters in Eleanor Lindale’s well-to-do family kept her out of the social whirl where she might have attracted suitors. Now, at age 25, she believes she is irretrievably on the shelf. But her quiet life in Brighton abruptly changes when she’s asked to chaperone her beautiful 17-year-old niece, Lady Aurora Crossways, for a brief season before Aurora’s wedding to Philip Radford, Earl of Huntley. Aurora’s flirtatious and boisterous behavior is difficult for Eleanor to manage. More trying still are Eleanor’s growing feelings for Philip, and his for her. But will Philip’s strong sense of honor prevent him from following his heart?

Ok this is really boring and anything but romantic .. the only highlight is Helen Stern who is outstanding ..

First book by this author and I would have given up on it had it not been for the narrator that made it enjoyable. This was a VERY CLEAN book for those that like clean reads. The first kiss did not happen until 74% and that was brief and chaste for my liking.

I found Aurora entertaining and she pretty much steals this tale with her antics. Nel and Philip were tame and boring and were it not for Aurora, there wouldn't be a story at all as all the time was spent chasing Aurora around. There was no character development nor any chemistry between the 2 main characters so, found myself not caring about anyone because they were simply one dimensional to be taken at face value. I wasn't impressed and giving this only 2 (which is generous) because I finished it and because of the narrator.

Waste of money and time
