This was everything!

I will never get over how well Adriana weaves history and the romance in a way that keeps me hooked from beginning to end. I’m always so invested in the characters and their romance, but also, their personal journeys. I want to the them find this romantic happiness, but also, fulfillment in their achievements.

I love what Adriana did with Manuela and Cora and cannot wait to read more about the Leonas!

2. The Duchess (Cora) is a force, I admire her and strive to be as ruthless and independent as she is.
3. Cora has GOT TO BE A LEO with how she loves and protects so fiercely but completely falls apart when she is heartbroken!

An excellent sapphic historical romance

This book has it all! Romance, drama, humor, and steam. I loved Manuela and Cora as characters, and their happily ever after was absolutely perfect! Can’t wait for book 3!

Romantic historical fiction

Enjoyed the historical fiction and learning about a different era and that it is centered around strong female many from the Caribbean. I could have used with less extensive sex scene and more time on the meat of the story. Loved the first of the series, moving on to the third.
