I will listen to this book repeatedly as I improve my Spanish because I cannot yet find better. If he could redo the parts where Anne says, "Ah..." the book would be quite good. While Anne uses that word when she feels a variety of emotions, the reader always sounds like he just got punched or stabbed, even when Anne should be speaking in a dreamy voice. It is startling to hear at first, & even stressful, but you get partially used to it. He does do it less harshly as the book progresses, but he never understands her emotions.

Since I am using this to learn Spanish, pronouncing words very clearly is more important than his acting, so I do recommend this book as long as you can tolerate what I mentioned above. As soon as I find this book by a reader equally clear in speech, but without the harsh acting, I won't choose to listen to this, but until then, I'm so glad to have access to this.

Pronunciation, clear. Acting, not so great.
