AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

FROM THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF FIRST LIE WINS

Two women. One dead husband. And only one alibi.

“Elston expertly unravels a web of secrets and lies. You won’t be able to put this excellent thriller down until the final shocking page.” —Megan Miranda

Everyone at Chantilly’s Bar noticed out-of-towner Camille Bayliss. Red lips, designer heels, sipping a Negroni. But that woman wasn’t Camille Bayliss. It was Aubrey Price.

Camille Bayliss appears to have the picture-perfect life; she’s married to hotshot lawyer Ben and is the daughter of a wealthy Louisiana family. Only nothing is as it seems: Camille believes Ben has been hiding dirty secrets for years, but she can’t find proof because he tracks her every move.

Aubrey Price has been haunted by the terrible night that changed her life a decade ago, and she’s convinced Benjamin Bayliss knows something about it. Living in a house full of criminals, Aubrey understands there’s more than one way to get to the truth—and she may have found the best way in.

Aubrey and Camille hatch a plan. It sounds simple: For twelve hours, Aubrey will take Camille’s place. Camille will spy on Ben, and the two women will get the answers they desperately seek.

Except the next morning, Ben is found murdered. Both women need an airtight alibi, but only one of them has it. And one false step is all it takes for everything to come undone.

Editorial Review

Secrets, lies, and the perfect alibi
On the heels of First Lie Wins, Ashley Elston has delivered again with Anatomy of an Alibi. I was drawn into the lives of Camille and Aubrey and the building tension around their 12-hour identity swap. Camille's desperation to escape her controlling husband felt so claustrophobic, and Aubrey's need for answers about her past gave the story raw emotion. The narration brought distinct voices to each character, and I could feel the paranoia and secrets building with every chapter. You think you know where it's going, but then Camille's husband ends up dead, and suddenly you're wondering which woman actually has the alibi and what really happened that night. —Dawn G., Audible Editor

This book had me thinking I knew who did it but I was wrong. And just when I thought it was over it wasn’t. So good and I love the narrators

Just when you think you know who did it… U DONT

I really enjoyed the narrators of this audio book. The story line was engaging and they did a great job keeping wanting more of the story.

Nice plot twist

This book did not live up to all those five-star reviews! The plot moved quickly, but the story lost my interest because there was no character development. The only connection I had with any of the characters was with Aubrey Price; and that was minimal. No one else in that long list of characters had any push or pull on my emotions. Had I purchased the print version, I would have given up by the halfway mark. But, I bought the audio and listened to Saskia Maarleveld’s talented narration while I did laundry.

The title of the book was more interesting than the story.

Great overall book. Felt like it was very confusing at first but when it came together-it REALLY came together. Hang on, it’s a twisty ride!

The twists in here-Wow!

Great book… but I predicted halfway through the book who it was. My first book by Ashley, and will read more.

Good but predictable
