Serissa Roubanis' life has been filled with various layers of misery so far. She is 17 and lives with her older brother after their mother's suicide, though even that isn't the worst of it. The worst is far greater and more heartrending.

Trevor Owens' cushioned life will change drastically when he asks out the girl that no one else will talk to at school.
