Angel Demorte had been a dedicated therapist for years, spending her days helping traumatized patients overcome their demons. The work was fulfilling, but what others didn't know was that Angel had her own demons to deal with. She had a secret, a dark side that she kept locked away, hidden from the world. But with each story she heard, each confession from her patients, that darkness grew stronger inside of her. But then, a new patient entered Angel's life. Brandon Quinn was a troubled man with a secret of his own. As they worked together, their bond over human suffering became stronger and stronger. And with each passing day, their twisted desires and thirst for destruction grew. Together, they were a dangerous pair, ready to unleash their terror and destruction on an unsuspecting victim. Their twisted relationship was a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at any moment. And as they got closer to their target, it was clear that nothing could stop them. The question was, would their bond over human suffering be enough to satisfy their dark desires? Or would it drive them to turn on each other?

Angel's downfall doesn't make any sense. Without spoilers, either the ending is a stupid cliche with Angel and Brandon or there's a ton of plot holes. It's also hard to feel bad for Alice when she acts like a dumbass. The characters are idiots and no one is really likable. I would recommend all of you pass if you want a good story. If you just want disgusting gore though, this is your book.

Disgusting, but Nonsensical

Yup. That is definitely extreme horror. Started pretty quickly. Totally entertaining the whole way through. A few moments of shock! That ending was a total surprise! Also, I’m not a huge fan of automated narration.

Extreme horror. Yup
