Now, there’s Angelica Blossom Junior, the granddaughter of Angelica Blossom Senior. She’s convinced she’s the best fishmonger in the world and uses that skill to avoid facing life’s problems. She’s had quite a few, but a speeding ban and having to run the business for four weeks without her grandma, Clarita, are going to be tough. Even Harpy, Trevor Harper, her grandma’s best friend, won’t be around to help.
But Oscar Clover, Harpy’s nephew, will. The problem is you don’t tell an Angelica Blossom woman what to do, and nothing has changed with Angelica Junior. This stranger is on a mission to look at the business and how it operates, which doesn’t go down well with Angelica. Yet still, they have to make it work. Worse, Oscar is considering renting out a restaurant next door to Angelica Blossom’s Fishy Emporium to someone Angelica would rather not see again.
It’s a fishy frenzy of ups and downs, trying to get on but do what they do best. Be the supreme fishy monger’s on earth. The problem is Oscar doesn’t like fish, and Angelica doesn’t like being bossed around, but they have to make it work to get the ‘oldies’ off their back.
After a few trips together, the pair start to like each other, but nothing is ever simple with Angelica Junior. She does things to the beat of her own drum, which annoys her grandma but makes Harpy laugh out in delight. Plus, she harbours a deep hurt about her ex, and even deeper hurt on the woman he cheated with.
And all Angelica wants to do is have fun, but with whom? The fish can’t help, but maybe Oscar can?
A fun and fishy tale of hiding the fact that you’re scared of getting hurt, and maybe all you need is someone to love you back in return.
